Snapchat has taken over social media photography with its awesome filters, realistic effects and its awesome user interface since its conception in 2011.
Over the years, snapchat has rolled out various upgrades to its Android users in a bid to improve their consumer experience and add more interesting features including in-app games, location-based filters, slow motion and fast motion effects, Snapchat Trophy case and many others that kept users affixed to the app, resulting in the "BEST APPLICATION ON 2013" award being bagged by the app.
As awesome as those upgrades are, users have observed the performance issues that come with it, and some flagship devices have experienced this sluggishness and poor image quality as well, while some low-end devices are experiencing a constant crash in the application.
Snapchat Inc. has been writing new software for its Android users with constant bug reports from users on the Android platform that would meet the same standard as its IOS users enjoy.
Well, great news for Android users as Snapchat is pleased to announce the release of its new and enhanced Android-built application.
In its recent update Version. 10.55.0.0 released on Monday 15th of April 2019, Android users might not notice the new look but would experience and feel of the improved App because most of the updates are "under the hood" and it is aimed at improving the Application's responsiveness to Android devices.
Some of the issues fixed were:Â
- Quick transition time between screens
- Less faltering
- Stacking of AR channels
Snapchat Inc. Vice President was quoted saying:
With this new development, I won't be surprised if you see new updates and features being rolled out for Android users before the iPhone.Snapchat also added an in-app social gaming platform called "Snap Games" in its latest updates, which is packed with six games for users to enjoy, and a live voice chat feature was added.
Android users are now advised to update their app to get Android's new and enhanced snapchat.
